In December 2013 Dudley College was contracted under the UKIERI programme to provide Leadership & Management training to deans and principals across India.
The training started in April 2014. Our team, led by Dudley College’s Principal Lowell Williams, has already delivered training to 250 education professionals in the cities of Chennai and Chandigarh.
The training includes practical projects focusing on:
Improving the quality of teaching and learning in delegates’ institutions
Creating a mission statement and strategic plan for each of their polytechnics
Improving their employer-engagement work
Integrating information technology into their teaching
Working with their staff to improve motivation.
Delegates are always enthusiastic in their praise for the training. The first group of principals and deans have returned to work to put their new knowledge into action.
The programme will continue into 2016.

Our Leadership & Management programme is supported by the British Council and AICTE (the Government of India’s All India Council for Technical Education).
